Reid Weber

ARCHITECT

With roots in Sandpoint, Idaho, Reid continued his education at University of Idaho, in Moscow earning a Bachelor’s of Science of Architecture. After graduating, Reid moved to Portland, Oregon, to obtain his Masters of Architecture from Portland State University and a Certificate in Public Interest Design. After schooling, Reid worked in multiple commercial and residential focused firms before founding North Root Architecture.

Reid is passionate about creating architecture for people; enhancing their lives, their health, and their connection to community, and strives to reimagine conventional ways of achieving function. Throughout his career, Reid has worked on public service projects such as an integrated public park and food waste treatment facility and on Portable Adaptive Dwelling, tiny home shelters for Portland’s homeless.
Outside of the office, you’ll find Reid hiking, rock climbing, swimming, traveling, and reveling in outdoor play with his adventure hound.

Mason Miles

ARCHITECTURAL

INTERN

Mason has considered himself a Boise native for the last two decades, with a minor college stint of four years in beautiful Coeur d’Alene. While living up north, Mason attended North Idaho College and received his associate’s degree in anthropology. During his time at NIC, Mason worked full-time as a curator at The Art Spirit Gallery, where he designed monthly art shows and delivered various works to artists and clientele across the PNW. Two years later, he transitioned into a graphic illustrator position for a start-up leather goods company, Foxy Fix, in Post Falls, where he assisted with product design and website manufacturing.

Following his graduation from NIC, Mason returned home to Boise and applied for the architecture program through the University of Idaho. He’s currently going into his 5th semester of the ARCH program at the UI Moscow campus. Mason has found a passion for producing holistic environments that enrich the lives of people and their communities, with an interest in exploring the realms of passive, green, and sustainable design methods. Outside of the studio, Mason thoroughly enjoys being outdoors and immersing himself in nature; he can be found hiking, cycling, and riding waves around Boise.
